I used to work for a bankruptcy attorney and while I don’t remember much, the fee for the attorney is typically included in the settlement. So if the judge decrees you have to pay your creditors X cents for every $1 of debt you have, they take that total and add to it the attorney fee to get your total - then take that directly from your paycheck each month until you have paid it all off. So I wouldn’t discount that as an option if you think it is necessary. Good luck!

Your Children are most likly eligable for State Medicaid, Your Sons supplys should be covered, You should also contact the pharmicudical company who manufactures his meds, they will most likly have a program for you to get his meds for free or very cheap. You do need to contact an attorny at least get a free consultaion. There is no shame in filing bankruptcy if thats all you can do. You need to explore all the state aid you can qualify for; food stamps, medicaid, help with utilities, etc. everything. Also it is very hard for loving hard working parents to loose their kids take heart.

My advice to you is to find a job that pays a lot. Use the money you make to start to pay what you owe. Use the money left over to buy food and stuff you really need. Good luck!
