She’s
pretty and
perfect and her
blonde hair bounces just
like her step but underneath
she has problems of her own
that no one sees and she covers
them up with the smile on her face
but her inside bleedings show from the scars on
her arms which are invisible with her shirt placed precariously
over them. A laugh here and a satisfying nod there does
not compensate for all the tears she cries when no
one is watching. She tries to tell people about
the pain she’s facing. Isn’t a sad glance
enough to show she is trapped in
this perfect charade? Will someone save
her? is no one sharing
in her pain? She
feels so alone
in her
prison
