I have my sister’s two children ages 1 and 2.

She has just left them here for two months. We are relocating. I ‘m stressed out. Plus we can’t sell our house for the move because of the market. We are going to lose at least 20 grand. The real estate agent looked at us and said that is typical these day. I said oh yeah you got 20 grand just sitting around cause I don’t

I’m sorry the housing market suck so bad, I’ve been tring to buy one and finding loans is impossible. Even FHA is getting tight, plus those new laws the gov’t is enforcing Oct 1st isn’t really gonna help anyone - buyers or sellers. 80% of people in danger are still gonna loose their place and the other 20% aren’t getting a much better deal. And for buyers - forget getting sellers to cover closing or getting “non-profit” aid, anything forclosed will be excluded and you’ll need the closing costs themselves (3-10k easy).

Question: why did your sister leave two very young children with you? Doesn’t she know that you are moving?

for one, that is abandonment on your sisters part… i would seek family court and get custody of these children.. in which, your sister will be liable for support along with the father… also, as for selling your house.. if the market is down and you are going to lose money, i would suggest renting it out for now.. on the option of selling it.. or sell it through yourself.. not the brokers..
