I heard a great line in a song the other day.

I want other peoples thoughts on it.

“for every dream that shatters, another one comes true..”

Do you agree? Dissagree? Has something happend to prove this to you?

i am in a bit of a slump and talking about this might make me smile. we could all use a smile once in a wile. Right? Oh and if you want to here the song it is called, “riding with private Malone”. its country but its nice.

Yes, most definitely agree. When a dream is shattered, another one comes true. Sometimes, you may not know a dream came true, or you may not realise what cam true was a dream, but it is still there =)

Bogdan, what kinda dreams have come true without realiseing them? Can you give me an example?

And spunky, how can a dream keep you in ckeck? i though that dreams were about setting you free. Right?

Life will always compensate us in ways we may not even be aware!
Its just the universal balance working!
Always seems to happen… the key is to be aware that life will compensate us for losses!

It all has to do with the way things reveal themselves. What I meant was you may not immediately realise they came true. I cant think of any examples off the top of my head though. Sorry.

Yes it has!
I had a major falling out with a friend a few months back!
We are still friends now, but we are nowhere near as close as we used to be!
One of the lovely features of our friendship was that we used to hug a lot!

But recently another friend and I have grown close, and she cant stop hugging me!
Even though they are two very different people, and I miss the hugs from one friend… the hugs from the other friend kind of make up my hug need quota..

They are different kind of hugs of course… but I am getting hugs, and a similar kind of closeness from this other friend…

So its not the same… but it seems to be compensation of a kind!
Just an example :)

thats great. I had a friend who for no rason desided we cant be freinds anymore. It tore me to pices but i was able to get throught it because a strounger friend then me said it was all for a good reason. two weeks leter he was arested for beating another friend half to death. When he was put away i went to vist him and he said he had felt the rage comeing up in him and wanted to make shure i wasent the one he atacked. Is that the kinda thing the line is talking about?

Hmmm… my friend pulled away for reasons she won’t or can’t explain!
I feel like sometimes she wants to be nearer to me again, but something holds her back! I just have to be patient and give her space!

One day it will sort itself out! But one thing I do know is I can’t force the issue!

I’m not a very deep person, and i’m very shy, but here’s what i think. I would agree with that line. Every time that something goes wrong weither you break up with your bf or gf or loose your job or anything a new door may open, and new oppertunities may present them selves. Is that what that line is talking about?

I believe it and when the cosmos compensate me it’s gonna be HUGE!!!!!!! lol just kiddin. Actually my dreams have changed lately and through having lost almost everything I realized what is truly important to me was what I still have. Dreams may not come true in the way one would expect but if you keep your eyes open to it, it’s easy to see how things happen for a reason.
