Point help: How does the point-slope form of a line equation, y = y1 + b(x - x1), compare with the slope-intercept form, y = a + bx? - Help.com

How does the point-slope form of a line equation, y = y1 + b(x - x1), compare with the slope-intercept form, y = a + bx?

Does y1 equal a?

2. Are point-slope equations the same for different points? If so, when?
