friends help: I just moved to Texas. - Help.com

I just moved to Texas.

I have lived in Utah my whole life and thought i needed a “change.” As it turns out I think I just wanted to do something stupid. I quite school and just moved in with my friends family out here. I thought it would be great, ya know living with one of my best friends. Well as it turns out I don’t have any friends here and I don’t really like hanging out with her anyway. I’m not really sure what to do or how to think. Everyone keeps telling me to hang in there and that I’ll make friends. I don’t really know how to find people though. Its not like I can walk around like a homeless person with a cardboard sign “will work for friends”.

Im from texas! and if u just moved then it is going to take some time for friends. but u seem like a nice person ull probably make friends fast! just be patient. go to places where theres alot of people. and if your in school then thats a great way to make friends!

But I would say enroll in a school here in Texas. If I know where you were I could tell you some nearby schools. Texas State is a good one :)

i am in flowermound. i was thinking of enrolling here. i cant remember the name of the school nearby though….i just worry about money. I am still paying of my loans from last year in school…
