I write songs. I am the leadsinger of the band Yelo Head, and I write all my own lyrics. Having music helps to write for me, because you can hum out a melody until you hear the words in it. Also, when I’m just writing, I ask myself,” How do I feel.” Mainly, because if you can’t relate to what you are writing about it’ll probably suck. Lastly, don’t try so hard. Let the pen do the work.

listen to some music,
music that inspires you.
think about the world around you.
come up with a few sentences that would describe a certain issue/topic.
then think of how you could turn it into a song.
