Year help: I used to bite my lips and peel the skin off. - Help.com

This post left anonymously

I used to bite my lips and peel the skin off.

I did this for maybe around 2 years. And maybe 7 or 8 months ago, I realized how bad this was making my lips look. There were indentations on them from where my teeth had been. I’ve stopped biting my lips, and I’m trying to get them to finally heal up and stop looking so chapped and just plain gross. I’ve been using chap stick since probably January, and it doesn’t seem to really be working. This is getting to be pretty annoying. I just want my lips to be normal like everyone else’s. What should I do?

I’m pretty sure that’s the stuff I’ve been using. Is there anything that will just make them heal up rather quickly?
