One time my mom and I were in the same situation. It’s against the law if he cashed that check to evict you. My mom sent him the check anyway and he cashed it with his greedy butt. The next month we went to the eviction hearing and the judge reamed him a new one…has he accepted the check?

You can apply for freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription, online tuition or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years.

You can go to the local Goodwill center, they will help you find a job and/or train you. You can also try your luck at online charities like Modest Needs, people may send donations, if your requirement is genuine. From http://www.laodn.org/
