Its not over yet.
I can tell you that time definitely seems to go faster as you get older. Every year passes faster and faster. My dad had a good theory on this - he said that when things are all new, they seem to pass slower. Think about when you go on a trip or to camp, and the first day or two seem to pass slower than the rest, but the most familiar you are the place and routine, then the days pass faster. So as we age, there is less that is new, and time speeds up for you. Remember when you were a kid how long it seemed between Thanksgiving and Christmas? Makes sense to me anyway!
I wouldn’t use “a trip or a camp” to tell this….. maybe because when you are younger, you don’t know the world and the time pass slower because you’re always having fun with the things you discover, and when we’re old we get bored….
Even when I go on a trip now (I’m 45) the first day or two seem to pass much slower than the rest of the trip. That’s why I used that example - I hate thinking that my life is getting that boring though - LOL!!!
Life is short. For most people 2008 is shorter. But it’s not over yet!
I had better writing what I have done in a day to remember what I did…….
Are you meaning like a diary? I kept diaries when I was in high school, and recently re-read them to gain some perspective on being that age since we have a 15 year old daughter. It was really useful, and I figured out she’s a lot more mature and together than I was at her age! LOL!!!!
Time is a great thing actually - I’ve found that the bad things in my past have faded with time, but the good things have stayed fresh. I don’t think that’s necessarily true for everyone, but I’m glad it’s true for me!
Heh, I don’t remember it being at the time! But then maybe I’m getting old myself… :P
