How do you actually get rid of dandruff?

Yeah, it’s lame I know. I’m not sure if it’s my shampoo or my skin/scalp/whatever. I use Nizoral for treatment before and it worked. But now, it won’t. I also had my hair cut today in case the length is not hindering me to clean my hair better.

The problem is really bad. Parts of my scalp turns to red because of all the flaking.

Do you have any tips or advices, which could probably help me??

PS: please don’t recommend head n’ shoulders anymore… it’s not really good for me.

Your Skin is very dry and most probably the Stuff you are using is not helping.Rub in just plain Baby Oil,after a while you’ll see it will disappear..Guarantee.

You need to alternate your anti dandruff shampoo.Washing once and rinsing, then washing again, but this time, squeeze out excess, and leave on your scalp for aprox. 5 min. then rinse well. Avoid oils as this will make your scalp condition worse.if you google…Dandruff Treatments, you’ll see 50 plus remedies to assist you.Good luck :)

Okay okay. Thanks for all the suggestions. I go to dermatologist for my skin but I’ve never inquired about my dandruff issue.

I don’t really know what is eczema but I’ll search about it.

Thanks thanks!! (sorry for late response, I’ve been studying hehe).

I’m wondering, though. Can it also be because of stress? Hm. My dandruff issue has been on and off since college. Right now, I’m very stressed with so much stuffs to think about. Then again, okay, I’ll search google. =P

Yeah, I read about that psoriasis thing. I don’t think my issue is that bad, though. Well, I don’t know. I read about some homemade remedy adding lime juice for the last rinse when washing the hair and I think I’ll try to do that. It’s simple and cheaper so…. I’ll try to get to dermatologist as soon as possible, too.

I also wonder if it’s just shampoo-related. Today, I almost had a clean scalp (after three days of using treatment) but when I went to salon to have a cut and the crew shampoo-ed my hair, the dandruff (and more of them) had build up. I was trying to remove them actually while I wrote this entry.

well my grandma and my mommy (lol) have a lot of dandruff 2 and wut they do is well idk wut they do jkjkjkjk…………… lol…………… they used to use head & shoulders but well then they discovered that head & shoulders gives u even more dandruff so they stopped using it and they now use a different shampoo…………… well that actually helped them and well another thing that they do is they make a mixture of 3 spoons of plain yogurt & 3 raw eggs (they mix it all together),………….. and then they rub the mixture on thier heads, and they put on a bag over thier hair and they stay like that for about 2 hours and then they rinse of the mixture and that is guaranteed to work ☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺

You can try the following home made remedies to get rid of the dandruff;
Grind raw onions to a fine paste. rub this paste into your scalp. Leave it on for an hour. Wash thoroughly. Rub in some lemon juice into your scalp and hair to rid your self of the onion smell.
