Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
But why?
Why did they invent something they couldn’t open?
can. They would have used other thing sto open them at first.
The can opener so that when they invented a can they would be prepared :D
Or maybe the can opener had other uses before the can?
And if it was invented without a lid, you wouldn’t be able to carry it in a bag or something it’d have to be upright all the time.
Wtf? Carrying a can in a bag?
man it’s too late to be thinking bout this
Sam
Ofcourse ;)
But it’s bugging me! lol. I really want to know. :D
Well maybe it was alot like a can, or not called a can opener, or had similar looks to a can opener but not quite because it’s for something else..

Obviously, or most probably, the can.
You can open a can using other tools. My mom uses knife, most of the time.
You cannot use a can-opener without a can. And you won’t even probably think about inventing one when you won’t need it.

The first tin cans, invented in 1810, were heavy-weight containers that required ingenuity to open, using knives, chisels or even rocks. Not until cans started using thinner metal about 50 years later were any dedicated openers developed.
Good old Wikipedia! :P
