I’m having problems.

I feel like I’m in a massive rut and I’m only 20. I don’t feel like I have people to go to who I can ask for advice. I’m drowning in money issues and however much I work I can’t afford to keep myself going. I can’t turn to my parents as I’m all but estranged. Everytime I manage to pick myself up from one problem another presents itself. I’m even starting to lose the ability to get up and go out and socialise, because I don’t feel like I have anything in common with anyone - everyone has at least something to fall back on. I don’t know what writing this is really supposed to achieve. I have no idea even where to start improving my life.

Hi, I am having the same problem. I am having huge financial problems and I am completely alone. no one understands what it is like to be alone. it seems like everyone has someone in thier corner. its just so hard. is there anyone you can talk to, councellor, minister, professor, anything. I cant say it will work, but they may know a way to help with the money stuff

I don’t really have anyone whose advice I trust. I have lots of people I could ask but they’re either poles away from where I am, or I wouldn’t take what they said to heart because I don’t think they’re good rolemodels. Is that snobbish? I have a wonderful boyfriend, and I try to talk to him about these things, but there’s nothing he can do and so I end up repeating myself until he gets bored of hearing me complain about my life. Which is fair enough - no one needs to be brought down like that. I’m at the age now where I can’t get back to college to get a better job because I need money to go to college. I can barely afford to pay rent at the moment, and I owe money to people for deposits, bills, council tax. It’s not as if if I had the money I wouldn’t pay it all. I’m just in a massive hole and I wish I hadn’t screwed my life up so permanently when I was younger.

My boyfriend lives with his parents, my parents are a long way away and I was kicked out when I was 15, not to mention the fact that I have a ten month contract at the place I am now. Thankyou though.

I know parents arent always the best, and that they cause more harm then help. going back isnt always an option. if you look in the yellow pages there are usually free credit councelling people you can call. what about a ymca or something, I think tey usually offer councling. I have heard of churches giving money to help those in need too

half and half, it’s technically a city because it has an abbey but it’s fairly small.
