Can anyone tell what the 3945 would mean in “Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG”.

I am buying a laptop, and under Interface Type it has “RJ-11 Phone Connector”, “RJ-45 Ethernet Connector”, and “Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG”. I assumed the ABG stood for the a, b, and g in “802.11a/b/g”. But what does 3945 refer to? I ask because Gateway says this laptop has Bluetooth on it, yet the site I am buying the laptop from (one of Gateways distributors listed on their website) doesn’t make any reference to this laptop having Bluetooth on it. I was guessing that 3945 would be Bluetooth, but I don’t think that’s right. Any help is appreciated… like if you can’t answer the above, what is the IEEE number for Bluetooth… or is it even governed by them…?
