How do I feel passion?
I look around and see so many friends, and people everywhere who are so interested and passionate. Whether it be drawing and painting, musician friends, gamer friends who make mods and levels and stuff, sporty friends, etc, etc..
I just feel like I have no driving force. I have the talent. I’m intelligent, creative, etc, etc, but I just don’t care about anything.
I’ve pursued many interests. I’m currently doing my degree. But at the end of the day, I really don’t care much where I go, what I do, etc.

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
that’s understandable. you just gotta find what you’re passionate about.

Never really had one. I guess this lack of passion isn’t just a recent problem.

Thanks :)
Okay, if you could be anywhere in the world or beyond right now, where would you be?
Make goals for yourself. Try to gain 5 pounds of muscle, try to visit as many parts of the world as you can, build the largest collection of something in the world or try some extreme sports? Bungee jumping has a great feeling and some people get really passionate about that.

Umm.. I don’t know. PLenty of places I wouldn’t mind visiting, but I care more about the company I keep than where I am.
Perhaps you could try going to new venues to make more friends? I had good luck finding friends over the internet but unfortunately they are all very far away.

I’m not really worried about that. I have plenty of really good and very different and interesting friends. I’m a very social person. I’m often the most energetic person in the group when out clubbing or at a mate’s.
Maybe my problem is simply that I can’t focus on anything long enough, I don’t know. Not much holds my interest for very long. Sometimes I feel like maybe I’m simply interested in everything and I can’t give enough attention to any one thing. At the end of the day I stil have the same problem, nothing much gives me any drive, or makes me really want to do it.
You could still be searching for what you want. Just keep on trying different things until you can find what you want to do.

Are you an active person? It could be Attention Deficit Disorder.
What do you mean by ‘active’? I don’t think I have ADD. I was never a trouble maker in school, got good grades, paid attention.
Well they said I had ADD because I couldnt focus on 1 thing. I did good in school but I had to do 3 things at once or else I got bored.
Hey, I am the exact same way. Everyone around me had goals and dreams and I didn’t. I’m 26 now, and I don’t know if I will ever be like them. However, despite not having any drive for any careers, hobbies or even dating, I just ended up where I am and things worked out. Maybe instead of stressing about not being as charged as others, or forcing yourself to feel passionate about something, you should just try to be content. What exactly is bothering you- are you completely bored and/or aggrivated with your day to day life, or is it just the fact that you aren’t passionate about something right now?
In school it seems like it’s extremely important to know exactly where you want to go and what you want to do, but that’s not at all necessary. It’s ok to not know exactly what you’ll be doing next. I got a degree and ended up working in a casino selling bingo cards. It was never something I would have thought of doing, a friend just told me there was an opening. If you had told me a few years ago that’s where I’d be working, I never would have believed it.
So in your case, try to realize that it’s ok to not be as charged and passionate as those around you. Perhaps the passion will come to you, and if you want to speed up the process try some new and random things, and quit whatever doesn’t work out. Or maybe shift your focus to enjoying your days more and not being upset by not pouring your life into a certain purpose. I hope this makes sense, since I’m getting really tired and this gets hard to put into words.

That was quite helpful.
I know that a lot of people don’t know what they want to do with life. I guess I am worried about my lack of passion because I feel like I won’t get to do something I love. I feel very boring. I feel like I have a whole bunch of potential that is just being wasted because I’m so apathetic about it all.
Maybe I will stumble upon something I love, I don’t know. I think I’m simply scared that if I don’t find something I’m passionate about, I’ll never stick to something long enough to make it worthwhile.
