I met a guy recently.

He seems very nice and after we spent a couple of days working together he asked me out. But he lives far away, so to go see him and go out with him I would have to stay at his house, which would be a bit wierd as we don’t know each other well. If he lived close, would definately go out for a drink or something. Do you think I should go and see him?

Yeah, go see him. Stay at an apartment without him if you feel uncomfortable about going back to his place.
