If the will to quit doesn’t come from themselves then you can’t really convince them…

i smoked for 14 years. i wasn’t able to quit until my boyfriend helped me. i knew about cancer and it even runs in my family from smoking. you really can’t make someone else quit, but he was my motivation. just keep encouraging them too. i forget the site, but there was a site that i had gotten a booklet from with tips on how to quit which might help out. plus my boyfriend telling me it turned him off and i smelled from it definetly helped me to quit

tell them this quote “a cigarette has fire on one end, and a fool on the other.” Then tell them to say this “I will quit now” also, when they say this, don’t let them say stuff like “I will try to quit now” or “I will quit someday soon”
