question help: I got a couple of questions about guitars. - Help.com

I got a couple of questions about guitars.

1. What are good bass guitar strings for hard rock/metal?
2. Can all distortion pedals work with both Electric and Bass guitars?
3. What is a good bass guitar for hard rock/metal? I thought Ibanez might be good.
4. Is the Ibanex WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal worth buying?
5. Which is the best site for buying this stuff: Sweetwater, Music123, or Musiciansfriend?

This is my first question (s) by the way =D.

I used to play metal guitar in a band (not bass though I’m afraid,) so I know a bit but not very much about what you’re asking.
(1) I always used Ernie Ball strings: good all rounders.
(2) Yes you can get distortion pedals for both but best to stick with real valve overdrive if you can.
(3) Anything you feel comfortable with, get a guitar with at least one humbucker though.
(4) No idea.
(5) See above.
