Are tongues suppose to be bumpy and dry?

Very recently (as of 2 or 3 days ago infact), I felt as though my tongue started to “dry”out. On the outside, I can start to see “cracks” and bumps coming out of my tongue. I don’t know if this is normal or if it’s some sort of disease.

I’d like to mention I started to notice this ever since I started using my new tongue cleaner (which I got 2 or 3 days ago)

Make sure you brush the back of your tongue? There are some gross things that can brew back there.

don’t use a tongue cleaner the good lord designed you tongue to clean itself.
