i really need some help with iPod Nano 3rd Generation movies.

I ripped a 3hr long video using Magic DVD Ripper (into mp4 format), and when i came to watch it in Quicktime, the sound was delayed by 6 seconds behind the video. This also occured when i watched it in iTunes and even when i watched it on my iPod. i surfed the internet for hours downloading useless software and trying out useless tips, and obviosely nothing worked. I believe it has something to do with the A/V sync levels, but anyone who has some REAL, HELPFUL advice then please do inform me.
