Put help: Does anyone put ice cubes in their milk? - Help.com

My sister and I used to when we were younger. It just made it colder.

Shheze, ive thought about, but milk, and ice, its like pouring water into milk, you know?

Hey, it is part of the ingredients for some ice creams and we all love that.

Oh I used to do this all the time when I was growing up.
It just made my Mom cringe.
So I eventually stopped.
But it was sooo much better and colder to put ice in it.
Mom couldn’t handle the watering down effect that it had.
So now, I just pour milk into the glass and stick it in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes.
Icy cold and no complaints from Mom. LOL.

I do if i’m having Baileys as well. Baileys and milk yummy.

I think a better question is why do people cringe when thinking about ice in the milk.
In Mexican cultures, they do not put ice in any of their drinks because its taboo to mix the two. It goes back to their ideas about mixing good and evil.
But in the states its not taboo at all and we mix everything with ice. But if you mix the ice with milk, people freak out. Why?

Hmmmm…. My uncle does this lol.
So I decided to try it but I thought it was going to be horrible watering down the milk or something! But if you drink it fast enough it just makes it cold!
