Say I went out and got my marrige liscense today.

Does that mean I could get married an hour after that? I’m not gettting married though. My aunt is letting her niece live with her and her boyfriend sleeps on the couch because they don’t believe in letting 2 people who are not married sleep in the same bed. And her niece is saying that her and her bf got married today right after getting their marriage liscense.

The first line of the post. Can you or can you not get married the same day you get your marriage liscense?

I think her queston is, how long after she gets her marriage license can she get married? Or how long before her marriage license expires to be able to get married? Is that correct Whitney?

Assume what you like. I’m not trying to get married. Not hiding anything just looking for the answer to my question.

As I said, it’s a 72-hour waiting period - here’s the Dallas Co. website if you need it. And please don’t be irritated with the other responders - we are just trying to help. A lot of the time, people who post on here will have a story like yours and want other to to draw them out. They’re just scared to talk at the beginning. . .

And you would notice that when you sign up it just uses Tyler, Tx until you actualyl change it. Which I have not done and which I will not do simply because I’m not going to tell which part of Kentucky. I’m 16. I don’t want old freaky men after me.

And that was just a random county website, BTW . . .

You can make it say “unknown location.” I actually thought think that’s the “default” and I can’t figure out how to make it say Dallas, TX. But Dallas is an awfully big city, so I doubt any “freaky men” could find me, nor would they probably be so inclined - LOL!

Yeah, but I’m from a small town so it would be very easy to find me. Seriously my town is like a mile long so I’m not giving out the name if it.

Oh I don’t blame you at all. Like I said, I can say I’m in Dallas, but there are like 2 million people here!

3 day wait in Texas, I bought one in Orange, Tx, should have not mailed it back after the wedding. Should have burned it instead.
