Love help: My friend was emailing this 30 year old who was married (but he told her he wasn’t), she is also 16 years old. - Help.com

My friend was emailing this 30 year old who was married (but he told her he wasn’t), she is also 16 years old.

I care for my friend alot, she’s like my little sister, yet she’s older than me (by a week). Well i was worried about her, he kept sending her stuff like “hey sexy”.
Yesterday he threatened me! He told me “to keep my mouth shut or else” - I’m 16!
So i told his wife. I don’t know either of them but my dad cheated on my mum and i thought she had rights. Did i do the right thing? I think my friend will be mad at me.
She’s not in love with this guy. . . she’s already got a boyfriend. . . she didnt even lead him on but he’s been textin her and emailing her stuff that just wrong for a married man. He’s also a wakefield rugby player! A rolemodel! Wht do i do? Will she be mad? Did i do the right thing?

She might be mad but it sounds like you did the right thing. He could be dangerous.

I think you did the absolute right thing. From the way this guy sounds, it could have gotten further. If your friend gets mad at you, at least you kept her safe. With this guy threatening you, it sounds as if he knew he was doing something wrong, and sounded like it was for a reason. Which is the scary part.

Besides, the guy is married and it seems as if he was snaeking behind his wife’s back with a **** teenager, guy deserves more than a yelling session from his wife…

Although I’m curious, how did his wife react?

Yes i agree with everyone else who has responded so far. You did the right thing by informing his wife. How did she take it by the way? Also please tell your parents just in case you come up missing. they will know where to look first

Um, I don’t think it was necessary to say that… That could frighten them even more.

Yes, I agree though, tell someone else so they are aware of the situation, it keeps you safe too. However, I doubt thinking about it in the way Anon put it across is quite useful.

My bad lol i was trying to calm her down but i guess i did the complete opposite. Just know you did do the right thing! Most ppl your age are too afraid to do such a brave thing. to be proud of yourself and forget what others may think because in the long run you helped too ppl out. Your friend and his wife

That was a very mature thing you did

Indeed it was a very brave and noble thing you did.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound harsh. Just if it was me in that situation, I probably wouldn’t want to hear something so blunt. Lol.

I think you did the right thing. Any time you can destroy someone’s marriage, you should jump at the opportunity. The guy probably had kids who will be traumatized by their parent’s divorce.
