can someone please tell me what will happen to me.

my mom might tell social services to come get me because she is mad that i called them on he for all the thing she has dont to me. my grandparents that live in california said they would take me but i was wondering if social services would let me go from north carolina to california to live with them. or will they put me in foster care. i cnt get emancipated because i don drive and i dont have a job. i am almost 17 years old and i moved here to north carolina 4 months ago and it has been hell here ever since i have lived here. i really want to go back to california and live with my grandparents. please help me.

I am pretty sure that you could go to your grandparents if they say they want custody and if your mom is willing to give you up. it should help that your mom has a record with childrens services already. My cousin called childrens services on her dad and went to live wit her mom that way, but it might be different because it was her mom that she went to live with. Ask you grandparents to check into it.

Ok. so why are you scared of her calling social services to take you away when you’ve already called them on her? Sounds like a whole bunch of un-needed drama…

I think that if your grandparents are willing to take you; all you need to do is to indicate that to the “powers that be” (judges/social services) and it will be done.

Social services is so overloaded, that to “take care” of something so quickly, easily, and hassle-free will get them motivated…..
