um.

okay. I had a bad headache earlier. and I took Tylenol which says don’t mix with any other acetaminophen. and about an hour later I took Excedrin which I didn’t know had acetaminphen until like ten minutes ago. I was at my friends house when I took them. and about an hour after the Excedrin, I think I went into a panick attack. I couldn’t breathe and I lost feelings in my hands. I could barely move them. was it because of taking the Tylenol with the Excedrin? My arms still feel pretty strange but I have use in them. Obviously if I’m typing this. but I’m still kind of creeped out. everything on my body felt like it fell asleep, but I just layed down for about twenty minutes and felt better. but a bit woozy and all the colors were very very bright.
any body know what happened to me?

either you had a panic attack, or you reacted to the two pain relievers being mixed, i think you’ll be fine, but ask a doctor to make sure

there is no way I’m asking a doctor. they scare me. my friends wanted to take me to the hospital. I was like HECK no. Hospitals scare me too. but I guess maybe I just had a panick attack. and the funny thing is I still have a headache…ha

You should talk to a doctor, because you’re having panic attack and you can get help for that, but what you did was basically take two Tylonel, so it’s not that. You’re having panick attacks.

Are you prone to panic attacks?

Panic attacks can be set off by a number of different things… with me caffeine set me off. Excedrin has a very high amount of caffeine in it so its possible that it triggered one in you. The bad thing about a panic attack is that once started it feeds on itself. I have found that taking a walk helps redirect my thoughts, back when I used to have them. Of course anytime you think you might have caused an adverse reaction by mixing medication you should go to the hospital, but chances are you are fine. Hope this helps.

you lost feeling in your hands? hrrm…well this indicates either a loss of circulation or the brain synapses in your brain which regulate feeling in the hands went haywire. How did your heart feel at the time? That’s really strange.

I hope you’re ok now. Just relax and don’t forget to breath when you are in distress.

well no I normally don’t get panic attacks. I took two tylenol and then an excedrin. and yeah I lost feeling in my hands and then my knees were all tingly too. and my heart rate was really high. and my lips were twitching. it was really annoying and I felt really bad for my friend. He wanted to call poison control.

to me it sounds like a panic attack… and I echo the wise words of jkelly6000. Caffeine can cause a lot of problems to the unsuspecting body.
I’m glad you’re feeling better now.
Bright blessings ~ Richard

Good advise everyone, that’s true. I once felt extremely nauseous once during a panic attack & didn’t really realize why i was feeling that way! Body can act strange sometimes. And differently, because i suppose we’re all wired differently…

but I have caffeine everyday. and it’s never affected me like that. and why did I have a panic attack? what was there to be panicked about? ha I’ve always had trouble breathing especially around that paticular friend but he wasn’t there when it started. I went inside and he saw me and knew something was wrong. it was weird.

Panic attacks occur when, your brain short-circuits. too much to process. I think, there’s a chemical for every emotion. pleasure, pain, fear, etc….and the factors in your environment at that time triggered your brain to produce a certain chemical. And overloaded the system. That’s the best way i can describe it. I hope that helped….

Why do you feel that way over your friend? something bad happen…something good happen….do you have a crush? ?

Too much too soon, i suppose. Everything can have too much information at once and collapse. Human bodies mirror everything else in the world. My computer had a panic atttack the other day, lol. And totally shut down. short circuit.
