Its supposed to work.
I see that everything is compatible, just watch out for static shocks.

Wait up…which are you planning on getting?

Get a SATA Hard Drive.
optical drive? DVD/+ -R/RW
I guess any compatible with the OS you use will be fine.

For most of it yes…
make sure you have the right jumper settings…
Install ur drivers…
Make sure that all the drivers are compatable with your OS…
For your storage devices it all depends upon your needs…
I reccomend maxtor or segate…
for optical drives try sony or plextor…

*static shocks
I meant ESD - (electro static discharge) just a safety measure when putting it all together.
=)

That mobo just has 1 IDE controller (2 devices max?) if I recall and like six sata ports, Sata is much faster, and IDE’s are (I think) slowly being replaced with SATA stuff. SPEED!

Yep.
If you don’t have the wrist strap/cords, you can just once in a while touch the case’s bare metal to make sure you don’t pop on something.

Every time BEFORE u touch a screw discharge the static shock on the screwdriver by touching it to the metal on the casing, otherwise u could fry something, if u do dont eat it LOL
