I don’t think we have any actual obligations to the less fortunate. But before anyone get’s too excited by that, let me clarify. Helping others would be an obligation if it were a human rights or legal issue, but it is not. There is no RIGHT to help. However, I also strongly believe helping others is a good thing simply because I want to make the world a better place and it makes me feel good to do it. It’s just that I would never do it from a sense of obligation.
