How do you say a cliche without it sounding like a cliche when you really believe it?

It tends not to sound like a cliche if you say it sincerely … but it’s extra difficult online because people can’t hear the tone of voice.

Just practice I guess is the best way … if you mean it as the truth, say it that way rather than the superficial ways that cliches are presented.

Start the sentence by saying “I don’t like to use cliches but….” You might come across as an insincere phony but you also might be able to pull it off. Keep us posted on how you do.
