Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
listen to at least 4 of their songs then you will get it.
their vocal range is amazing most guys cant sing that high and sing low. Also their songs have alot of hidden meaning which if you juz listen to the songs it will sound as if they’re high, but it has to do with the things that went on in their time period and issues that teens dealt with. some of their songs dont have any meaning sorta like todays songs. but try listening to piggies(i think thats the song i could be wrong) its about the government at their time. they gave us an insight to our countries history.
I would take the Rolling Stones over the beatles any day. For a band that “revolutionized” rock, it sounds like they smoked in their submarine.

Ah, the good old Beatles vs Stones clash.
Hey, you can’t argue with 40 years of number 1’s. Although I’m just saying I agree with the OP, I don’t understand either.
can i take both??? I love rolling stones but i also like that beatles songs actually make you stop and think :D
omg and The Clash is amazing! haha gegenhall said clash which made me think of them :P

Ever truly thought about Sympathy for the devil? Or street Fighting Man?

Wait, who is the clash?
I like both too, but it’s just very typical to compare them. And yes, The clash is awesome!
an absolutley amazing band!
led zepplin is amazing too. haha so many bands that are amazing lol. than again so many (email removed) bands too.
“Don’t tell me you never got your led out!?!?!” Jack black in school of rock.
Led Zeppelin is foremost the greatest rock and roll band ever. They beat everybody. Followed by Ac/Dc, The who, Metallica, and The stones. Just a few bands. Woah, almost forgot Stevie Ray Vaughan, wow I could list amazing classic rock forever.
How did I leave out Van Halen and rush. I should be ashamed of myself. =/
you should be ashamed you can never forget Van Halen.lol and you forgot to mention zepplins amazing guitar solos. AC/DC most defintally who couldnt like “rock and roll aint noise pollution” and “back in black”?
oh and dont forget Pink floyd and the white stripes and ofcourse the eagles.
have you ever heard of jethro tull or supertramp?

Heard of supertramp, and I praised Led Zep as the greatest band ever. The Eagles, oh wow, number one selling album of all time. Amazing band, tequilla sunrise, the girl from yesterday. Hotel California and Desperado. All amazing.
But you can’t forget Kansas, carry on my wayward son. Anyone? Or how about Journey, wheel in the sky? Don’t stop believin’? How about boston with Smokin and more than a feeling? I could name bands all night. I love classic rock.
Omg im such an idiot i ttly forgot about journey and dont stop believing is even one of my favorite songs! anyhow i grew up listening to classic rock to so I love it too lol
“Stairway to Heaven” is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin.
an absolute masterpiece. So much variability within the piece.
I am growing up on it. I’m only 15 lol. I know more classic rock than either of my parents ever did and they grew up while it was going on.

Agreed. But never play it on the guitar infront of another guitarist. Considered bad luck.

I am sure.
haha while im 16 so i guess im still growing up on it too. anyhow when they came out with stairway they said it would never make it far because it was too long and it would get no radio play. But now its like one of the most amazing songs ever
waynes world “sorry, no stairway to heaven”

No stairway? Denied. Haha, I have that clip on my myspace. I know it shouldn’t with how long it is, but with solos like that how wouldn’t it get airtime Same with Free Bird by Ronnie and the boys.
I’ve never heard Free bird
but if its anything like stairway i must listen to it! :D

Listen to freebird, has about a 6 minute long solo, amazing, it;s by lynyrd Skynyrd.
i shall look it up and listen to it now :P

Let me know what you think of it’s amazingness.
OMG that was amazing!! the best solo i’ve ever heard!
I know, but keep in mind that They use 3 guitarists for that song, while led Zep and most bands only have one lead and a rythem.
yea but its still amazing especially since switching between chords that fast could not be easy.
♪The Music of Love wrote:

Oh it’s not easy at all, it is insane to even think of trying to play it by yourself.
I wish i had stuck with guitar juz so i could learn that solo now :P
Haha, I have been learning the guitar for the last 4 or so months. I wish I could play any of the solo.
well hopefully you’ll learn. that would be amazing.
another great soloist who isnt a guitar solist, but Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull is really good its not an as well known band, but still amazing. One of the songs the band did was taking a classical peice and turning it into a rock peice with the flute it sounds stupid, but its actually very good.
Would it happen to be canon in D? I have spent the last three days learning how to play the first half of it.
no its called bouree
♪The Music of Love wrote:

I’ll look it up. Check out canon in D. Absolutely amazing.
okay i will :D
Find a rock version, or a kid on a guitar, not an orchestra though. And bouree is pretty sweet, I am listening to it in another window lol.
thats really good it would be amazing if you learned how to play it (i clicked on the wrong one at first and i was really confused) lol.
but yea im working on playing Ian Andersons bouree rite now for my next recital juz so i can confuse everyone lol.
Ian Anderson actually taught himself how to play flute along with the spanish guitar and a little piano i beleive.

Wow, talented man.
And I am learning a slightly different version, played lower on the neck and a slower, not so many hammer ons and stuff. He composed like 5 different versions of this.
thats really cool I think i actually did listen to that version cuz the guy who was playing was playing the chords on the neck.
*i listened to it on youtube so i could see the person play in case you were confused
no i watched “‘canon in D’(rock version)”
Huh, He plays it half and half. I saw what I play at times and then alot higher at other points. Well, I can play some of that at this point.
oh thats kinda weird that he plays it half and half. thats really cool that you can actually play it
It is really fun to play. Just slower so I don’t mess up as much. But the person that got me into guitar can play this perfectly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDT7a8…
i gotta call it a night too after i watch the youtube clip. :)
ttyl
Omg that was so cool his fingers were moving so fast!!

Stevie Ray Vaughan has amazing style. Smoking a ciggarete. Just relaxed, Totally chill. He is amazing.
He and Eddie are my favorite guitarists hands down.
Not a fan of the Rolling Stones, and the Beatles I don’t understand either. Nothing about them was spectacular, average everything all around. They just wrote catchy pop songs. Average drums, singing, guitar work. I just don’t get it. I enjoy listening to them, don’t get me wrong, but they are not the greatest anything.

the beatles didnt write catchy pop songs they sang songs that may not make sense on the surface but after you analyze them they reflect the economy and the issues they were facing during the time the songs were written. Its not just songs they’re lead ways into history it shows a point of view which usually would just be glossed over.
