How long until I’m not contagious?

i was diagnosed with mono about three or four weeks ago. my doctor doctor told me that I could go back to school when all my symptoms were gone. So I am back at school, and I feel fine, but is it possible to still transfer the virus to others. I really need to know because I have a date, and I don’t know if it would be transferable if we kissed. Could someone still catch it from me, even though I don’t have any symptoms anymore??

Once you have mono, you have it for life. Its a bit like herpes in the fact that you’ll have outbreaks every now and then, and your saliva glands will produce the virus. Its especially overproduced in the first few months after your symptoms disappear, so chances are, darling, you ARE contagious, and will be for a few months. But you know something? 6 out of 10 Americans have it, and most of them don’t ever get symptoms. I’m one of those, cause I dated a guy who got Mono during our relationship and I never showed any symptoms. So I’d kiss the guy anyway, but maybe thats just me.

I dont think so I had mono pretty bad and i havent passed it on even though I started kissing again after about 2 months. you’ll prolly be fine, but if your throught starts too feel swollen and monoish(not very scientific, but since you’ve had it im guessing you know wat I mean) dont kiss him. cuz thats how i caught the guy who gave it to me also gave it my friend a few months before he gave it to me. so it is possible to be contagious even if its been a few months. just be careful :D
