I am 8. Probably classify myself as a atheist. I lean more to a humanist way of thought.

Dunno. Tried out different things. Can’t work out what I believe in terms of religion. But I DO know that though I find the ideals of Christianity beautiful, the reality is often far to pious and filled with dogma/hypocrisy for my humanist side to sit easy with. I like what I know of Buddhism, and I relate to the druid lifestyle too (which I imagine is similar to Wiccan).
Can there be another category? Spiritual? This doesn’t necessarily mean the belief in a God, but does require wishing the best for us all.

That is still sort of a relegion.

No…

Agnostics technically don’t believe rly…we think that there’s no evidence of God’s existence, and we also think that there must be something…

So, what do we do then?

We don’t bother about it…if there’s something we’ll find out when we die…if there’s nothing we’ll find out when we die too…
Then we can focus on living life, because as far as we know there’s only one life….

Ok, and I’m also kinda atheist…I just don’t think there’s a God…but I just don’t worry about it because in the end I’ll know…

I’m more like a mix…

Spiritual is still relegion, relegion does not have to have a diety.

So it still is relegion even if there is no beleif in god.

For starters, what’s a religion?

1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.
3. the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices: a world council of religions.
4. the life or state of a monk, nun, etc.: to enter religion.
5. the practice of religious beliefs; ritual observance of faith.
6. something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience: to make a religion of fighting prejudice.
7. religions, Archaic. religious rites.
8. Archaic. strict faithfulness; devotion: a religion to one’s vow.

Where do you see agnosticism in that?

I think that whatever path you take.. it takes a measure of faith in something.. so technically you could classify anything as a religion.

What I mean by the measure of faith.. is simply this… you cannot follow any certain beliefs… whether they be survivalist, muslim, atheist, anything.. without having a set of principles and ideas you believe in.

Yeah..although I wouldn’t say that believing in the Big-Bang and all that makes you religious…

I agree with you. It is too easy to stereotype people, we all just have to be smart about it and judge the person according to their acts, not the religion.

Typical.

I just don’t care to see it thats all I know who he is and have watched his show I think that from what I’ve read about his movie he mocks all religions and thats kinda disrespectful I mean he goes to a Gay Muslim bar and pokes fun come on now.

I have to go with anon here. Bill Maher is known for his opinions on religion and I can understand why it would not be appealing for someone who believes to go see the film.

From what I’ve seen he doesn’t mock them, he asks them theories. That maybe there wrong, maybe there right.

I’m not too sure his approach is correct it just appears he’s more like making fun of them but as you said maybe I should check it out myself but I just can’t do it. I’ve seen his show many times I just don’t like the guy he’s very bright just not very smart.
