I looked at a bad picture & I couldn’t get to sleep last night.

Yesterday I was browsing through the internet & I saw this ‘bad’ picture & I couldn’t get to sleep last night because of it. What can I do to get to sleep next time if this happens accidentally?

Sometimes the more you try to put something out of your head, the stronger the images come on. I think it may be best to take time to look at it in your mind and allow yourself to feel the fear. Recognize that it frightens you and just breathe it. Accept that it frightens you. You can then open up a window and let the image fly out of the window and then close the window again so it can’t fly back in. Know that it’s out there but you no longer have to look at it.
