Anti OBAMA emails—

What do people think about the email going around saying you can not wear articles of clothing or buttons that promote your candidate? Someone please tell me why this is strangely only really geared towards Obama?

Probably because they think ALOT of young people are going to show up to the polls this election and dont know about the rules. So they are warning them ahead of time to not wear any thing show casing who they will vote for because its a private matter. At least thats what i think. I received that message on facebook.

Yeah it actually depends on the area you live in. They were making a big deal of it on the radio, saying that it’s a lie.

In reality b>all they can ask you to do is remove your button or turn your shirt inside out /b>.

A LOT of people are VERY upset, outraged about it. The email seems like it’s just slanted towards Obama…I’m sort of in the middle of it, living 20 minutes outside of Washington, DC—

Yea i really dont care i mean i had messages on facebook pertaining to both obama and mccain. I just hope if obama wins he doesnt care more about his popularity than about saving this nations problems… Mccain i dont see him lasting in the white house. The question is already being asked to the public if palin can be the president of the united states, which means the media is already planning his death, or thats how i interpreted it

From what I’ve heard everyone is more focussed on Palin then McCain.

Well, it’s pretty silly if you ask me, wearing buttons has been a part of elections since before I was born. I’m not going to say any more because I feel like I’m in enemy territory, lol.

Lol…

“AND NO ONE CAN CAMPAIGN WITHIN X AMOUNT OF FEET TO THE POLLS”

Somehow, I would think that, were this real, it would mention both candidates, and not be so grammatically retarded.

He does kinda look and sound like the Rock. He’s The Rock Obama!

Heya Xeno, it IS real—and really it’s meant to detour people who would vote for Obama from going to the polls, it’s a ploy, a plot, a method of diversion from the reality.

The law is in regards to active campaineering. Like posters and handing out information at the polls—granted most people who go to the polls aren’t there because they don’t know what they’re doing…they’re going to vote!!

Lol, I know the ploy part is real. I know the letter is “real” as in, it exists. But it’s not true. That’s what I was saying. I think a few places may say that, but they’re not going to remover your right to vote, they’re gonna make you turn your shirt inside out, or take off your buttons. That’s it.

It’s the Rock’s old wrestling catch phrase, from what I know.

I’m guessing that the person who created the message mentioned Obama specifically because perhaps that person is voting for Obama and hopes that if people were to show up supporting a candidate with pins, etc, that they would be supporting Obama.

So it’s voter intimidation if you are asked to turn your shirt around, I think it’s silly, but I do think it’s much a do about nothing, but voter registration fraud and voter fraud by Dems is fake? Sigh, I’ll be so glad when this election is over…it’s been so ridiculous on so many levels.

I do tell you what I don’t like…I don’t like teachers wearing political buttons to school, they should be educating not voicing their opinions.

Teachers are people too, and within their rights as Americans, they are entitled to their opinion under the First Amendment.

The laws to which some polls are adhering to are regarding campaineering, and a person simply wearing an article of clothing which shows that they are pro-whomever should be their right. If you haven’t decided by the time you go to the polls, I think there are much larger problems than simply seeing a button. Campaineering is more when they hand out information, tell you the elects platform, etc. As a private citizen you shouldn’t be stripped of your freedom of speech.

Voter registration fraud by DEMS? Excuse me, and to what source do you have this information? I DO know that in the swing states that registered DEMS are falling victim to a ‘typo’ which calls into question their citizenship, strangely enough right before the election and without proper regard to the amount of time that you need in order to actually be ABLE to show proof. And if that doesn’t stink of some sort of conspiracy, I don’t know what does.

I agree teachers are people to and they are within their right to voice their opinions to other adults, but it is their job to educate, not shape children with their own political views, that I have a problem with and is why prayer in school is not allowed.

I already said I think some of this has been silly, campaign buttons go way back in our history and I just don’t think it should be a big deal, if somebody is going to go vote I don’t care what button they are wearing, but I don’t think telling people they can’t is voter indimidation.

I was referring to the Voter registration drive by ACORN that has been fraudelant, also there have been Dems in swing states that have voted in Ohio even though they reside elsewhere, a Dem partisian group and that it is more than just typo’s, but you can google it all if you want, it’s been going on for months. Of course I’m not totally blind or stupid, there are problems on both sides, our voting system is flawed in general and it’s all Americans that suffer from it.

Seriously at the end of the day most of us are just citizens, we are just regular people, just regular Americans, not Democrats, Republicans or Independents, just Americans that want a fair and honest election.

Oh come on Florie, there have been investigations all over the Country and NOT just partisian investigations.

You know what I’m an independent, I don’t believe every single thing that comes out of the GOP, so why is it that you seem to believe every single thing that comes from the left.

You can’t always believe partisians, they telling you what they want you to hear and believe.

I don’t believe everything, and seriously I don’t believe you’re very “independent” but that’s okay. I know very well that there have been investigations, and I also know that they’ve come up with ZILCH. It’s just an attempt to distract people from the MASSIVE attempts at ELECTION FRAUD that are underway now, and I’m sure will go on past this election. And Fizz, it’s the GOP doing it, not the Democrats!! So if you’re really an independent, you should be able to absorb that fact, well-documented all the heck over the place! No offense intended.

I didn’t start this post for it to be a front of political flame baiting.
I was very upset at the state of the nation, where people want to tell me I’m not entitled to my opinion—so I made a post about it.

I’m going to ask that everyone please NOT come to just **** up the place with their negative views about all the other bull going on right now. Living in DC, I hear enough **** when I go out my door.

Are you speaking to me? You ask why these emails are geared toward (or against) Obama. I ask, Why is it that the Republicans are attempting again to steal an election, and the fact that it’s the GOP doing the voter purging & suppression, not the Democrats, is not being emphasized in the news?
