Promises broken
Which love could not hold
Words that were spoken
Which love could not fold

A time in the land
So deep in my heart
The thought of your hand
And what tore us apart

And those graceful words
Which trapped my soul
And let out free birds
That made me so whole

A will of a fire
A burn of our passion
The deeply desire
Love’s greatest fashion

Seemingly strong
We were forever
It didn’t last long
Now I must remember

A child we’d bear
From love’s creation
And a life we’d care
From our dedication

A promise to last
A life with my dear
Eleven months had passed
Not even a year

We couldn’t last a life
We couldn’t last a year
You can’t be my wife
That’s my biggest fear

All of lost hope
And all of pure fate
Slowly cutting the rope
My ex-soul-mate

Why does it burn
After these times
Why did we turn
A love full of rhymes

Month of eleven
We lasted together
Months that were heaven
Months not forever

This poem’s not sad
It’s not of regret
It’s of what we had
And not to forget

I’ll miss you saying
You love me so
I’ll miss you praying
For your hero

Just look out each dawn
And don’t shed a tear
Don’t ask why I’m gone
I’ll always be here

Now I am a friend
So we can still see
Our hearts start to mend
As we are set free

But now there’s a song
I can never hear again
If I do to long
I feel the pain
Of the empty space
Where you once were
And your pretty face
That it referred

Thank you for
Touching my heart
And the love we pour
For being that part

I’ll never forget
What you did bring
Or ever forget
When you would sing

There’s a lot I will miss
Like seeing you smile
And having that kiss
That brightens my mile

Holding your hand
And feeling your arms
Your beauty so grand
And protecting from harms

So here’s to goodbye
But I won’t say forever
Just don’t make him cry
The next man you’re together
