i need help with memory specs.

I have a compaq presario desk top with only one gig of memory. I need to add at least one more gig.
the question is what kind, where to buy and what to ask for?

All you have to do is open your case and take out the memory stick. It will have the specs right on it, that way you can match the speed. You get better performance when you have two sticks that match. Take it with you when you go and purchase your other stick of memory. Hope this helps :-)

If you are nervous about opening your case like “Sophie” stated the easiest way to upgrade your memory is just take it into your local pc repair shop and have them do it. Hope this helps :-)

I am just thinking bout this!
And Yeah I have a Compaq Pesario but Laptop
And just opened it up to see what the ram is set out like but that’s all I am going to do i think. Will take it into shop soon enough.
