What do you do when you feel at a lost with your life?
Even though everything on the outside seems normal.
I used to think that asking God for direction would help….but then when I really think about it…I don’t think he actually answered my pleas from years ago till now…even though I had the faith that it would…
What do I do?

I talk to my friends. Been in this site for long now so what i do is i have learned to post on stuff about my miseries. I did not want to tell people that i am also sad but when i started talking about it, i do really feel and see the changes. It does help to talk. You may not talk to people all the details but just letting them give you hug sure does help a lot.
Sometimes we have to put aside our faith and waiting, and do something for ourselves.
You’ve not been overly specific, but have a look at getting a new hobby, meeting new people and getting out in the fresh air.
I know exactly where you are coming from. I feel the same way. I can tell you changinging your religion does not work. lol you still find yourself talking to god.
i turned to budhism, but i still find myself talking to god

Nice!
Thanks everyone…I am actually a free thinker…but because I went to a Catholic school…I just have that culture and belief system of God instilled in me….
I am always a believer of making things happen for myself, but somehow…at the end of the day…it still doesn’t help much. ARGH.
It’s odd though. Upon becoming an atheist I found myself agreeing with a lot of the teachings of Christ.

Th teaching are fine, the sins are part of man, but I think of it as a guide, and I don’t believe that I’m made of mud, and that woman are one of my ribs…
I think the 10 commandments are a good idea.
You can take your relgions though.
theres allot of things i dissagree with the bible. I believe in evolution. so the whole ribe thing is a joke to me. but i think we turn into other religions looking for the trueth inside of us.
Right. I just mean I found a lot of good ideas. Like turning the other cheek, doing unto others as you would have them do to you, forgiving people, self-sacrifice, humility, service. I think that if more people, including most Christians, started to emulate their leader a little more, the world would be a lot better. Not once in the time that I went to church did I hear a sermon that we should have tried to be like Jesus. That’s really sad considering all the peace and tolerance he promoted. And all Christians in the United States want to seem to do these days is set up a theocracy so they can run other peoples’ lives according to what they believe. I wish they would remember that one time they came to the United States to live and believe freely. It seems unfair that they don’t want to afford that right to other people.
this is what i learned in this life and this is the way i think at least… God gave me a body and mind , so basically he gave me everything that i may need to solve a problem and make good decision , god gave us everything we need , so basically i dont think god will get involved much in our lives , we have to live our lives not everytime we feel down we go like why god why me ? instead we must seek for a solution… this is about the problem you can control and solve some problem comes with life and you cant do anything about them those problem you can do a bunch of things with them , one if put it back at ur head and not focus on them , cause the more you focus on a certain problem the worst it seem , than if you cant change it , you accept and learn to live with it… seek and you will find ^_^
God doesn’t exist. The people of God have bullied certain places into teaching that a man in the sky made the Earth, and that Evolution does not exist. If God DOES exist, then I don’t ever want to meet him. This is because believers always refer to themselves as ‘good God-fearing Christians’. If he is such a ritious and fair and kind being, why do we have to fear him? Sorry to cause offence, but everytime I’ve had **** in my life the only person who helped me out of it is me. My actions reveal heaven and hell to me. Be your own God. Feeling lost with your life is a hard thing to cope with. I’m going through it now, but I know why I’m going through it, because of my own mistakes early on in life. Not because of some ‘Original Sin’ or anything like that. Praying isn’t fixing anything. Me taking action is. I guess I’m trying to tell you to take ownership of your life, and if need be do something massively different with your life in order to change your outlook. I hope I’ve been some help.
God’s time is not our time but God’s timing is perfect check out Proverbs 3:5-6

Friend, you need to understand the definition of “fear” as it is used within the context of scripture and the original language. Fear in that context is awe or reverence not fear in like I’m affraid or shaking. When we know and understand who God is we then “fear” Him.

Thats right when we try to make things happen in ourselves we are going away from Gid wants and what He wants is us to depend on Him.
