is it late to join karate at the age of 18?

just wondering. i always wanted to be in some martial arts class but never had the encouragement from anyone.

Don’t know if it’s relavent, but a friend of mine started late on (19). He’s now pretty good at it, and takes it very seriously.

Go for it… There are always adult classes available. A good thing to know… You may need it someday :)

It’s okay to start at 18 as long as you don’t mind absorbing numerous relentless and severe a–whippings from 15 year olds (guys and girls) who started when they were 10.
