I have a lump in my armpit…
ITs small but it hurts when i touch it. I noticed it about 2 months ago but then it went away. Its back now and it really worries me. Can anyone maybe tell me what it might be?

mm…do you shave your armpits? ’cause if you do, lumps can grow after shaving but they’ll go away after few days.
but if you don’t shave, then, maybe you could look for more medical answers off the internet - it’s amazing what you can find just by typing that title you have there for your post, onto google. :)
Anonymous has the right answer.
Google it to get a general idea of what it might be. It can help put your mind to rest and also if it is anything serious, can help you find what you might need to look out for :)
It could be a benign cyst, but I would for sure have it checked by your doctor if its been there a while, peace of mind is a great thing hon.
Oh! Lol, I had the same thing for a while! It went away pretty fast… how long has it been there?

“ITs small but it hurts when i touch it. I noticed it about 2 months ago but then it went away. Its back now ” -from the top….
I just noticed it today again if thats what ur asking.
Eh… it hurt me too. I think for me it was just a clogged poor. Give it some time and put a damp, warm washcloth on it.
Might be an ingrown hair.
They’re extremely common in the armpits- though usually they’re caused by shaving.
They’re painful but really not a hug deal. I wouldn’t take my word for it though, I’m no doctor.
Is it just on the level of the skin, or do you feel like it is deeper down in your flesh?

It doenst feel too deep, im thinkin its probably the hair thing. Ill keep an eye on it and check it out it it keeps up.
Hopefully it’s the hair thing. Have you tried google images? Look up “ingrown hair” and see if the pictures are similar to yours. You could also try “armpit lump”
It also may be a swollen gland. My brother had something like this years ago and found out from the doctor who gave him proper medication to reduce the swelling.
maybe thats it too cooper, as far as googling the image… its very small, hardly noticeable. I cant really see what it looks like.
I’d bet that you use antiperspirants, the kind of deodorant that stops perspiration. Those can block pores and cause sebaceous cysts to form. You may need to have a surgeon remove it.

o.0… way to scare the living hell outta me…
Sounds like a Cyst to me because they can come and go in the same spot. Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought you said it did go away and come back, so a cyst would be the most logic idea.

It did do that, i cant remember if its the same arm tho.
If the lumps are in both your arm pits then it’s your lymphs. I had mono one time and both the lymphs under my arm got kind of big. If it’s both under your arms then please go see a doctor right away becasue lymphs swelling up means doctor time. If it’s just under one arm then I would say it’s a cyst and that would be less alarming. Take care and hope the problem clears up for ya!
