My daughter has been instructed to stay on a clear liquids diet by her doctors until her body has been cleared out.

She isn’t a big girl and I’m worried she will loose too much weight. What is an approximate amount of weight she will loost over the course of a week?

She may lose an average of 3 to 5 lbs a week! Make sure she follows the doctor’s instructions so she can get all her nutrients in the liquids. Nothing is going to happen! What happened to your daughter, if you don’t mind my asking?

She is having bowel issues… hasn’t gone to the washroom on her own for 5 weeks. We have been giving her enemas as this is the only way to get rid of the poop. It’s very scary as this is the second time this has happened to her in the past 2 months. She will be going for a catscan this week to see perhaps if there is any nerve damage.
