What is a good place to meet fellow geek/nerd/gamers?

I am a 24 yr old male who just got out of a 6.5 yr relationship and is pretty shy, so any info would help.

Try internet cafes, Games Workshop, Hobby stores, conventions, etc.

Internet is good too.

I have tried the internet and not much luck, most live too far away.

Depends on your age group what’d be appropriate.

Oh, ack. Skipped that part in your post.
I guess networking through current friends always works well.

Eh. You could always start taking ballet…
or a computer class somewhere.

You know, the old trick of being involved = friends. Just like college and high school.

Have any opportunities like that around you?

See? It could totally work.
Clubs and student groups are good for that.

Just make sure you’re friendly (without trying too hard) and you’ll do fine.

Me too. I guess. But I love college.
The classes are hella-frustrating (not hard, just unfair), but we all just gotta keep on swimmin’ like nothing’s wrong, no?
