life help: I am 24yrs. - Help.com

I am 24yrs.

old I am married with a 1yr.old son. I work for a non-profit small community organization. The past couple of months have not been good at this job because we have not been getting paid on time. Most recently I was supposed to get paid on the 1st it is now the 7th and still no check. I do live in a dual income home but my husband came into the mariage with alot of bills of his own ,credit cards and student loans so we need both our incomes. I don’t make alot and i have recently been looking for a job paying more and somewhere i can move forward. I also wanted to go back to school i have a bachelor’s degree in psychology i want to go back for a master’s in social work but at this time i cannot afford it because we are living check to check which i hate because i want to be able to have cushion if my baby needs me.

Most grad schools pay a stipend to their graduate students and grant tuition waivers to greatly reduce the tuition costs. Depending on the school you should be able to secure $1,500.00/month. Minus your education costs, you would still be making a profit of $1,000.00 per month by attending graduate school.
