World Of Warcraft Patch HEELLLPPP PLZ!

I just installed WoW on my comp and it’s installing the first patch.

at the moment it’s been going 2 and a half hoursish and it’s on 2.75MB of 465MB (Zero percent)

like i said…2 n 1/2 god-**** freakin’ hours!!

it also says it appears my comp is behind a firewall; but i checked the settings and everythings good :S

HELP?!!!

unfortunately, you have just found the joy of blizzard P2P file sharing - you will have to wait, unless you want to have fun with port opening!

now, a few things… - the main one being that the speed will almost certainly increse overnight when less people are online, and using your local bandwith

the second, is that there may be a direct place to download those patchs from… but i’ll have to look a sec… bear with me

Ah, I had the same problem, go to www.portforward.com
click on the “routers” link.
then find your router on the list.
(search the router for the name and type or w/e)
after you’ve found your specific router,
find “World of Warcraft downloader”
And it will give you step by step instructions on how to forward the ports for the WoW downloader.
It’s pretty easy,
also, on the same list,
you can click on World of warcraft, and it’ll make the game run with way less lag.

lol. If you’re complaining about the time it takes to install the game,… well then you’re not ready for this game.
