I understand how you feel. I am in the process of going through a divorce with someone I love so much, but he doesn’t feel the same. Has something happened that has made you feel this way? Please talk about it, it will help you to feel better. The last thing you need to do, is keep it bottled inside. If you think you need to, see a therapist, there is no shame in that at all. Please get help if you think you could do something to yourself or someone else.

Just because you can tick the boxes on the list doesn’t have to mean you are depressed, if you’re really worried talk to a qualified professional about your feelings; don’t go wandering on the net because before you know it - it always does for me anyway: you might be bi-polar, you’re in serious need of medication, you’ve got personality disorders, strange uncommon syndroms, eveything adds up and you are worrying yourself sick. Yes, you may have a chemical imbalance. If you do, good luck finding the right type, sort and amount of medication.

But that’s not what I am about..

If you try to keep your head up, start thinking why you might be feeling the way you do.. is it situational, have you had these feelings before, are you under allot of pressure/stress, do you worry allot about something, are you anxious from something past-present-future?

Keep talking, keep writing, find a way to unload the negative or you might end up walking in circles with a note for pills in your hands.

Hey there ‘d’. I think we can all relate to what you feel whether it be in a small way or in a big way. In some regards, we humans just aren’t equipped to deal with all the pressures of modern life. It’s easy to become stressed, overwhelmed, and feel like we have little control of our lives.

There are three main illusions when we become depressed that perpetuate the cycle. 1) We feel like we have no control over our lives. 2) We feel like the world is set against us. 3) We feel like we’ll be stuck in this situation forever.

Luckily, none of these three things are true.

I’d suggest you start putting yourself in place to succeed. Start with little things. Plan to go see a movie twice per month, and follow through! It’s silly but when we set goals, even teeny tiny ones and succeed, it helps us feel more confident, more prepared for bigger successes.

Also, what has always helped me out of a dark place is to develop a healthy obsession. Maybe it’s playing guitar, or learning everything there is to know about a particular author or film-maker or band. Maybe it’s reading, maybe it’s writing, heck… maybe it’s just getting really good at a game! Pick something that you know would make you feel an eentsy bit better to complete… and obsess! Focus on it relentlessly. Fill up so much of your time with it that you don’t have time to fret or stress or worry. By the time you master your project (and if you really build the passion for it, you will!) you’ll find yourself feeling a little bit better about yourself, a little more confident, a little more ready to meet your larger goals.

Hope this help! Good luck out there :)

Mhm, Ok.
The Feelings Are New..Although I’ve Had Fairly Similar 1s Once Before But Things Improved. I Can’t Think Of Anything Thats Making Me Feel This Way, All A/B Grades In Exams, Playing For Rugby Team, Playing In 2 Bands, No Problems At Home, No Relationship Problems..
I Guess I Am A Little Stressed, But I Kinda Expected That In My Final Year.
None Of My Friends Know I’m A Christian Though.. =/
