Tie a poop bag to his rear end! They sell them at Petsmart!

well if you have it on a leash, which you should always do while out, then stop walking when it needs to go, make sure you hold it back while it is doing it’s thing.

Have you tested and tried that method Nick? lol, I would imagine it not to be very easy if at all possible to tie a bag to a dogs butt and have it stay in the right position to catch the “mess”

A poop bag is the same concept they use on horses when they are out pulling carriages in downtown for the lovebirds who like to ride in those things.

If your worried then ask a vet what they think and suggest, but really I don’t see that being harmful to your dog or it being a symptomof anything.

If anything the reaosn for it is as a pup he was not trained well and doesn’t know how to stop and poop, doesn’t know that is what it should do so I think with a little patience on your side after a while of retraining he should get there in the end.

As I said, keep him on a leash and when he needs to do his business you keep pulling him back, he will get the message eventually.

i dont know anything about your dog, but my dog has a hip problem and she does the same thing because when shes in the ‘crouching’ position to go poop it hurts her hip so she needs to walk around a bit
