What do you do with a person who freezes you out every time you have an argument and won’t pick up the phone?

They will not sit down and talk about the problem, but they ignore you and don’t call you back. This person will not pick up the phone. I have to constantly pick up the phone. They believe in freezing you out instead of trying to talk and work things out. What do you do?

I would suggest you just let things cool down. Sometimes people feel the need to block others out.

Yup. Thats what I normally do. People cant always see bad behavior in themselves, so its helpful to point it out by showing it.

What they’re doing is called being passive aggressive. One counter measure is to be active aggressive and start screaming and threatening them. Just go hysterically bonkers. This usually brings the situation to a quick conclusion.

Thanks for your reply. The problem is this person who happens to be my mother looks down on yelling and screaming and she looks at it as someone is weak who has to yell and scream. Unfortunately it is better to freeze her out.

I sometimes behave like that too because I hate emotional arguements and I hate talking on the phone. For me if people who have a problem with me talk non emotionally and respectfully to me and listen when I have something to say the discussion is easier to handle. Hope that helps.

Rudeness is not a nice quality in a person!! So if I were you I would be really nice to them and that should make them feel really crap about themselves. If all else fails have it out with them ask what their problem is
