Money help: My boyfriend is too proud to do this but I’m not. - Help.com

My boyfriend is too proud to do this but I’m not.

He is a single father with 2 small boys and has been out of work for 8 months now. He lives in Broward County as I am in Dade County. He is in the construction industry and the jobs are just not there. He’s on CareerBuilder and Monster every day or he’s just walking into construction company’s HR offices or he’s knocking on doors offering handyman services.
He’s a hard worker and has never been in a situation like this before; his cobra payments alone are $765/month. He’s diabetic and one of his kids has a disability that is controlled by daily medication. With the co-pays, his meds are costing him $200/month.
I cannot help him out because my pay has been cut by 15% and I have not been bonused since April 2008; so I’m just making it myself.
The whole thing is just so sad; he’s applied for FL Kid care and was turned down…God knows why. He’s 2.5 months behind in his rent and he owes everyone money.
If anyone has a kind heart out there, please respond. This isn’t a scam, it’s a very sad truth. If anyone knows any agency or charity that will help him to pay his rent and just his and his kids basic neccessities, please let me know.

You can apply for freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription, online tuition or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years

You can go to the local Goodwill center, they will help you find a job and/or train you. You can also try your luck at online charities like Modest Needs, people may send donations, if your requirement is genuine. From http://www.laodn.org/
