Members of the Electoral College are appointed in secret meetings of corporate CEOs and lobbyists. They, in theory, are supposed to vote in accordance with the states they represent. Sometimes this doesn’t happen and the person with the most popular votes doesn’t win the election. This last happened in 2000 when an idiot was selected over a liar even though the liar had more popular votes than the idiot.

I know somebody that can give a very detailed explanation about it, I’ll try to find them and ask them to come here to answer any questions you might have, but I haven’t a clue how soon that might be.

But I really liked Anons reply, so true and the sad part is the idiot got nominated instead of the hero, so the idiot won three times when he shouldn’t have, the 3rd time he beat the dullard. The liar and the dullard’s party still say the election was stole from them and now they are trying to get the current fad elected.
