Why does both of my browsers take a long time to load any webpage?
Even google takes around 30 seconds to load - if not longer! But, once I load the pages I can navigate them fast and if i download anything i download them at a high speed - for example i downloaded something at 900k/b sec before, so why do my browsers take a long time to load a webpage, or anything to do with the internet?

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
Opera 9.6, and i still have IE on my computer, not sure what version though.
i think you should upgrade to mozilla firefox
definatly one of the fastest and most reliable in my opinion
Yeah but, will it really resolve the problem? Opera worked really fast for me untill last friday, then it just went slower. I have no idea why…
I agree :)
It may be because of the programs you are using upon you systems startup, what kind of anti-virus do you have?
I’m going to download it, I hope the problem is resolved..
I mean, I play my xbox 360 with a full connection, and i play the PS3 with a good connection, but web browsing is the thing im worried about.
I’m using NOD32 *reg* anti-virus 3.0.621.0
Updated Virus database.
I hope it is to, after using almost every available web browser i can defiantly tell you that firefox is my favorite, and they are constantly updating it so it performs better and safer. I don’t think that would cause any problem’s
hopefully firefox helps

That browser is working fine from what i can tell, I’d check it again but I only got my xbox 360 hooked up atm.
No, didn’t change nothing. Still slow as hell.
My computer runs fine, same as usual. I ran CCleaner, removed a load of crap nearly a gig, and went on my way, ran a virus/spyware check and cleaned my pc fully.
:
Yes, same speed.
But when i download something it’s like 700k/b a sec.
I’ve fixed it now, it was a third party program, I uninstalled and restarted works perfectly fine now.
Now for downgrade from vista to xp.

Good plan. My parents laptop has vista, and it sucks sucks sucks.
I only got 2gb ram, but it doesn’t run slow. Just vista it’s self annoys the crap out of me, you need to give administration to everything (Well you can turn it off)
Plus, you’ll get more problems with vista then XP. I mean, I’ve had to fix 3 program related incidents in the past 2 days. One due to a third party program registering it’s own Wmp.dll.

lol, and Vista was supposed to be more secure.
Some promise that turned out to be. They should of waited longer, tested it longer before realising it and adding extra charge to the price of my laptop, curse you microsoft.
Well, Microsoft probably knew they were shipping out ****, but thought we’d just take it.
We did take it, but then realised it was a load of crap.
I’m pretty sad i bought this laptop should of bought a better proformance PC for like 300 more. I so badly want to play pure on this thing, but my laptop won’t run it.
Same for COD4. I got the games, but it won’t run.

Man, you got ripped off. I wonder if there is a class action lawsuit against Microsoft regarding this?
I’m taking this to the highest authorities. I may have to take my case abroad.

abroad to where? Microsoft is stationed in the state of Washington.
I live in England.
hmm, Microsoft has a European branch, sue the pants of them.
I will, but first i’ll advertise myself as a lonely mother of four, living off nothing but 90 pounds a week for the whole family. I’ll try rank in some donations!

“Violent mob impales scammer”
WHT? ROFL. If we continue I see a ‘Popular post’ certificate coming. I think we better move this on to the shoutbox eh?
If your PC seems like its slowing down and having a hard time surfing the web or just doesn’t seem right. If you think that you have a virus or bug. You need to clean it out first to find out what’s causing the problems. Here’s a few programs that I use regularly and they take very little time and skill to run.
You should go to http://download.com and get these programs.
AD WARE AND SPY WARE REMOVERS:
AD-Aware: http://www.download.com/3120-20_4.htm…
Spybot search and destroy: http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search…
CCleaner: http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000…
If you don’t have an Antivirus program you can use.
Avast: http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Ed…
or AVG: http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Viru…
and for your firewall a good program is
Zone Alarm: http://www.download.com/ZoneAlarm-Fir…
Install these programs and run them regularly. This will keep your system clean and running properly. These programs are free and Download.com is a part of CNET (the site that your posting on right now). Hope this helps :-)

Clue, stop spamming with that, the problem was already resolved.
Yeh right. Figured that I would let them know that the programs are out there and this will prevent any further problems. Its not spam when it comes from the same company. Hope this helps :-)
What 3rd party program was it I am having the same problem now & I have never had my browsers do this ever! I have no clue what the problem is because only my browsers do this so God only knows. Could you tell me what 3rd party app it was?
Thanks,
Haole Boy
