with my assumptions aside, i need to know what these implications you’re more specifically refering to in regards to a traffic control system.

just thought someone should break the ice on your post.

Not necessarily a complete and total computer control of traffic. But I read a post earlier where a young driver was involved in an accident at an intersection because it was a difficult intersection and she couldn’t see an oncoming driver in time. I was wondering if anyone has thought about putting a device on cars that signals some sort of device at an intersection to at least warn people of approaching traffic. It is really a new idea on my part and I haven’t gotten any solid thoughts on what exactly it would do, or how it would work, or what rules it would follow.

they could install some sort of computer automated device that detects other automobiles. perhaps it could informs you whether or not it is safe to pull out at an intersection or random stop sign. just in case you misjudge the speed of an on-coming vehicle or you don’t recognize it’s approachment.

What do you think about a electronic traffic control system for motor vehicles? Do you know of any existing instances? Do you know who owns the patents and/or copyrights to any such ideas?
