A funny mistake made on Help.com

This has happened to me a lot, but I see it happening to others aswell. When I post anonymously, I wind up forgetting to reply anonymously too, so my user name appears and defeats the purpose of me wanting to be unknown. I just find it funny.

I did that on my first ever post :0 . The other thing i noticed if you watch the replys thing in real time, if someone is anonymisly posting it still shows thier loc.

just out of pure curiousity, why do people post as unknown? the only reason i can think of is if you aren’t proud of your answer…

any other suggestions?

I also want to know why people post questions as anon! - its not like we know who they are anyway

For me, posting anonymously, it’s because I know a couple of people on this personally, and there’s some things they’re better off not knowing, lol.

i personally have not ever posted as anon… but i agree with you… i have seen this many times over… what happens is, you leave your own post to go see another post and when you come back, you forget to click the little reply anon button…

seems like there should be a way to keep it checked even after leaving..
